GHA Partnership Consultation

GHA Consultation

We told you in June that we were starting talks with GHA about the possibility of forming a partnership.  We wanted to see if, by working together, we could improve services and homes and deliver real benefits to tenants and factored homeowners.  Since then we have been looking at options for what form a partnership might take.

What we believe would bring the biggest benefits to both Cube and GHA communities is for the Associations to be partners within a 'Group'.  In a group structure Cube would remain a separate housing association. GHA would become our parent organisation, sharing costs and services and offering support.

We have also jointly assessed the potential benefits to you if the partnership was to go ahead. These include:

     •  increased investment for Cube homes – an additional £10million in the first few years;

     •  homes in all areas would meet national standards by the deadline of 2015 – two years earlier than currently planned;

     •  improved services to tenants with, for example, telephone access to a 24-hour customer contact centre, 365 days a year where trained and helpful housing advisors are on hand to deal with your inquiries;

     •  better value for money through both organisations working together to provide joint services;

     •  rent stability as a result of being financially stronger.

You can read more about the benefits of the proposed partnership on these pages or you can download the information pack here.

Your views are important to us and we would like to know what you think before we make a final decision on a partnership.
