This project is located at Moraine Avenue within a prominent site which over looks Great Western Road. The site is currently occupied by St Ninians Disability Resource Centre which has been deemed surplus to requirements by Glasgow City Council. Cube Housing Association was offered the site by Glasgow City Council in order to address the shortage of affordable rented housing in the area. We will provide 21 houses for rent made up of 6 cottage style flats and 15 semi –detached family homes. Three of the semi-detached houses will be fully wheelchair accessible over two floors and will include a through floor lift. The plans for the wheelchair houses were developed in consultation with the Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living. We anticipate our contractor will start on site in April 2007 with completion to take place in around April 2008.
