Cleaning Service

Daily Tasks

Sweep, wash all foyers areas as necessary
Remove any noticeable marks from walls and windows in foyer area
Sweep and wash down all surfaces in lift and polish brasses
De-litter areas surrounding block removing all rubbish and litter pick as appropriate, including grass/shrub areas
Check blocks for refuse bin bags and any hazardous items and/or damage. Remove and or report as necessary.
Sweep, wash stairwell (Ground to 1^st Landing & 7^th Floor to Roof) - 7 storeys

Weekly Tasks

Change stair Rota Board
Update the foyer notice board removing out of date information
Clean all windows and window ledges in the foyer
Carry out full block checks, including stairwells and landings and report any defects/damage as appropriate
Sweep, wash and disinfect Bin and Bin Room Areas
Check Bin Room, rotate bins and clear up any spillage
Test Emergency Call Button and lift levels in all lifts on agreed specified day.
Sweep roof drying area and check drains, (weather and tenant washing permitting)
Identify and report any Anti Social Behaviour activity to Neighbourhood Services Team

Monthly Tasks

In order for the cleaning to have maximum impact, residents must continue to take their turn at cleaning as per the block rota.

Daily Tasks

Check chutes and de-litter areas surrounding maisonette removing all litter as appropriate
Remove any noticeable marks from walls in close
Check Bin Room, rotate bins and clear spillages
Common areas of maisonettes will be cleaned once per week, but checked daily by the Caretakers.

Weekly Tasks

Sweep, wash close entrance
Remove any noticeable marks from walls and windows in foyer area, report graffiti that cannot be removed to Line Management
Sweep and wash stairs from top to ground
Clean close windows, including window ledges
Sweep, wash and disinfect Bin and Bin Room Areas
De-litter areas surrounding block removing all rubbish and litter pick as appropriate, including grass/shrub areas
Identify and report any anti-social behaviour, activity to the Neighbourhood Services Team

Caretaking Service are reduced at weekends and Public Holidays, however all sites will be inspected and issues dealt with.

What can you expect on the Weekend?

Check and clear blocked chutes.
De-Litter around the blocks and stairs as necessary.
Check and clear up any debris or spillage in the foyers, as necessary
Sweep and mop out each lift
Check the maisonette closes and remove rubbish
Check for and remove refuse bags as appropriate
Check all Bin Rooms and Bulk stores, clear any spillage and rotate bin
Note any minor damage or defects, make safe if necessary and report to appropriate department next working day.
