Factoring

Since the introduction of Right to Buy legislation, more than 350,000 former public sector homes in Scotland have been bought by tenants.  Cube has over 1,200 owner-occupied properties within its estates in Glasgow and Dunbartonshire.

Home owners are responsible for all repairs and maintenance to their property.  They are also obliged to contribute to the cost of the management services that maintain the shared facilities and areas within their neighbourhood and to honour the conditions specified in their Title Deeds.

A handbook has been compiled to inform all owners, within properties factored by Cube Housing Association, of the responsibilities and obligations that both owners and Cube Housing Association have in maintaining the quality of the properties and the local environment for the benefit of all the community.

It includes information about:

  • The Association and how it operates.
  • Your rights and responsibilities as an owner.
  • Our rights and responsibilities as your factor.
  • A simple guide to the Deed of Conditions.
  • Council Tax.
  • Alterations to property.
  • An explanation of Common Charges.

The handbook is made available to all new owners.
