House Lettings Policy Review Consultation

We are currently reviewing our House Lettings Policy and how we should continue to let your houses. Your opinion matters and you can let us know what you think by completing our questionnaire or by contacting us directly.  Contact details and related documents are shown at the right of this page.

We review our Policies every three years or when new legislation is introduced or to introduce good practice ideas that improve our services to customers.  The Policy was last reviewed in December 2009 and we want to begin this year's review by asking your opinion on how we currently let our houses and how we should continue to let then in the future.

We currently operate a 'choice based' letting scheme as described below which we introduced in October 2005 moving away from the traditional waiting list lettings system.

Choice Based Lettings

We allocate our houses under a scheme called Cube Choice. This scheme provides you with the opportunity of choosing the home that you would like to be considered for. This means you do not have to wait for an offer of housing that we think is suitable for you, instead, you actively search for a home of your choice.

The scheme offers choice by advertising properties available to let and inviting expressions of interest known as 'bids' from people who are registered with us for housing.

Traditional Waiting List

Where you are allocated points and applicants wait for the Association to offer them a house.
